3-year-old Preschool Program
3-year-old Preschool Program
This program is designed to be a transitional step for your child’s first independent learning experience. Every effort is made to make your little one feel valued and secure in his or her new classroom environment. This “gently-structured” program will gradually prepare your little learner for the Pre-K Class the following school year.
Initially, emphasis is placed on social skills: properly-interacting with classmates and teachers, while learning and following the classroom rules. As the year progresses, the emphasis can begin to encompass readiness skills, such as color, letter and number recognition; cutting and name-writing skills. Music Time, Movement Time, and Pizza Day are special monthly activities that enhance your child’s experience.
Each class session provides your child with the opportunity to:
- verbalize and share ideas
- paint, color and draw
- participate in constructive play, both indoors and outside
- develop a sense of classroom independence
All classroom activities are conducted by a certified teacher and an experienced aide in a safe, well-equipped environment. Parents are encouraged to participate in classroom activities and Field Trips on a regular basis.
